Hacking Demo Shocks Attendees at Cyber Conference

(June 8, 2009) St. Louis, MO - The home page of the New York State Cyber Security Conference highlights the "must sees" of the event and one listing in particular grabbed the attention of hundreds of event goers: "hacking demo." This first ever hacking demonstration was given by Parameter Security at the annual conference where security professionals worldwide gather to learn about the latest threats, trends and tactics in cyber security.

"Inside the Mind of a Hacker" was presented by Parameter Security's Lead Ethical Hacker, Dave Chronister, on June third, the first day of convention. With record attendance, Chronister proceeded to educate and surprise attendees as he showed a hacking demonstration from the hacker's perspective. "People were flabbergasted," said Chronister, "they had no idea how easy it is to gain access and what a hacker can do once inside the network."

The presentation had such an impact, that it was being talked about on the ever-popular business networking site LinkedIn. "I received a very nice email about the presentation from someone I did not know via LinkedIn," said Renee Chronister, Parameter Security CEO. "He said he attended the session and that it was fantastic. He thanked us for confirming everything he has been warning his employer about and how import security is." Chronister remarked, "He even told me about how a colleague of his tracked him down afterwards and said he was terrified after seeing what a hacker can do."

The New York State Cyber Security Conference proved to be a success for Parameter Security but even more valuable to event goers who attended the hacking demo.
